I already sort of was familiar with you via the Jenny McCarthy Body Count, and I found the event via Ari Ne'eman.
I had no idea this was going on, but when I found out, I was really annoyed. It reminded me of a similar event where able-bodied people used wheelchairs for a day to demonstrate how inaccessible most buildings were. Insulting and problematic doesn't even begin to cover it, so I'm glad you're covering this.Leah Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16798094383285526940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6480795548784608622.post-11733589075885357352010-10-23T06:54:52.598-07:002010-10-23T06:54:52.598-07:00Thanks for posting this!! That's wonderful..
Yeah, I simply don't telling my friends on the spectrum that I'm not going to talk to you today because I'm promoting the idea that you live in silence..!!! WHAT??!! I look back on the early years with some of my kids..a couple of them were non-verbal..but they STILL communicated. All we had to do was listen..No-I plan to be really LOUD on line for that event..I will pop over to facebook and lend my support to what you are setting up-good for you-and thank you. For me AND my children..:)kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648854807234137885noreply@blogger.com
